Staying and Dining at the Saint Danny Giles Makati Hotel – A Truly Memorable Experience

If any of you have visited the Saint Danny Giles hotel in the Philippines recently, you may have noticed that this is not just your ordinary Asian hotel, but can truly be associated with some of the most distinguished luxury accommodation areas you will find in the entire Metro Manila.

The hotel is located close to the NCR and the center of Makati City – one of Metropolitan Manila's most well-known and delightful areas. However, while the hotel itself proved to be simply amazing, with clean, comfortable rooms, modern bathrooms, stylish contemporary arrangements and all the modern day amenities you would expect from a 5-star hotel, it was the dining that caught my eye even more.

Being a restaurant critic, I never visit anywhere without taking a look at the local restaurants (yes, even on vacation), exploring the menus in detail and trying out some of their best dishes, even if just out of curiosity, to see what the true differences are when it comes to quality and taste, but also nutrition and hygiene.

I was pleasantly surprised to see how clean and organized the Bayleaf Restaurant and Bar was when I first walked in and sat down at my table. I knew immediately that the calming atmosphere would be perfect for unwinding after a stressful day, and, indeed, many traveling businessmen and women could be seen in the evening enjoying a cocktail and some of the fine Filipino and Western dishes served at the restaurant on its beautiful terrace.

Although the view wasn't as majestic, the engaging and friendly clientele, the busy urban atmosphere and the helpful staff of the Annex Bar Lounge certainly made my visit to this second beverage haven within the St Daniel Giles Makati entirely memorable. The cocktails were, of course, the highlight of the bar, although I definitely had a pleasant surprise tasting some of the after-dinner snacks as well.

The Danny Giles makati hotel review proved to be an excellent choice for accommodation for my visit to Manila, and the experience as a whole has eventually caused me to consider planning a visit again next year.
